From one Bicentenario park to another.
Located in north Queretaro, this Bicentenario park opened in 2009 and is home to three rollercoasters. With that many coasters, this is a park that was well known to the community.
After paying our entrance and walking the main path into the park we quickly saw two of the rides at the end of the path.
Off in the distance we could see the third, much larger ride.

Yay! Some shade. It's just a shame the good rides aren't under this.
The first coaster was a wacky worm. For the purpose of geekiness I'll keep a tally of just how many of these things were ridden. This is #2
As we were making our way to the second coaster we spotted a group of kids also making their way to the ride and not wanting to get stuck behind them ran to the ride only to find we weren't allowed to ride without a child. In hindsight it was a blessing that the kids had rocked up when they had, and getting the ok from the parents we were able to get our rides in.
Not embarrassing in the slightest but you have to do what you have to do!

The park has a huge lake and the train ride circles it. I wouldn't bother riding it as the amusement park section is all in one area and the rest of the journey offers nothing but cactus plants. However if you love cacti then I highly recommend it.
A real carousel but not a real race car.
Having made our way to the big coaster we spotted that the ride, like the other two, was made by the same Chinese company. Now the thing with Chinese rides is that there's a simple rule: the bigger they are, the more they're going to hurt, and it didn't get off to a good start when were made to wear the seat belts properly; not over an arm, not over an arm and ahead but we had to get both arms through it and over our head so we were strapped in around our chests.

Looks ok, rides not ok.
Elsewhere in the park we found a haunted attraction. I liked the limbless stump of a zombie.
We contemplated the rapids but when you see people coming back who are too wet for a wet t-shirt contest you know its not worth doing, so we passed it.
"If only there was a place to meet up if we got lost"
At the rear of the amusement section the park have installed a temporary installation of creatures some of which were animatronic. The Scorpion claws would reach out and snap shut.
The giant mantis was pretty cool!
The boating lake looked quite lonely with just the single boat on it.
and that was the Bicentenario park.
